You can apply the parking brake, deplete the vacuum reserve, remove the electrical connectors, remove the vacuum hose, remove the 2 master cylinder nuts, position the master cylinder aside, remove the brake booster pushrod retainer bolt, remove the brake booster pushrod retainer, remove the stop lamp switch, remove the brake booster nuts, remove the power vacuum brake booster and remove and discard the brake booster gasket.

Q: How do you remove the Power Brake Booster?
A:
You can apply the parking brake and block the wheels, disconnect the inlet hose, the steering gear, and the return hoses from the booster assembly, remove the master cylinder to hydraulic booster nuts, set the master cylinder aside in the engine compartment, remove the stop lamp switch, remove the 4 boosters to bulkhead nuts, remove the booster assembly and remove the gasket.

You can install a new brake booster gasket, install the power vacuum brake booster, install the brake booster nuts, connect the brake booster pushrod, install the stop lamp switch, install the brake booster pushrod retainer, install the brake booster pushrod retainer bolt, install the vacuum hose, connect the electrical connectors, install the master cylinder and install the 2 master cylinder nuts.
