02/11/2022Q: How do you install the Valve Lifter Oil Filter?
A:
You can install a NEW valve lifter oil filter O-ring seal into the valve lifter oil manifold, install the NEW valve lifter oil filter, apply sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) or equivalent, install the oil pressure sensor washer and sensor, connect the engine harness electrical connector to the oil pressure sensor and install the intake manifold.

02/11/2022Q: How do you install the Valve Lifter?
A:
You can lubricate the valve lifters and engine block valve lifter bores with clean engine oil, insert the valve lifters into the lifter guides, align the flat area on the top of the lifter with the flat area in the lifter guide bore, push the lifter completely into the guide bore, install the valve lifters and guide to the engine block, install the valve lifter guide bolts and install the cylinder head and gasket.

You can remove the intake manifold, disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the oil pressure sensor, remove the oil pressure sensor and washer, remove and discard the valve lifter oil filter, and remove and discard the valve lifter oil filter O-ring seal.

You can place the service gasket onto the valve lifter oil manifold, install the valve lifter oil manifold to the engine, install the valve lifter oil manifold bolts, connect the engine harness electrical connector to the oil pressure sensor and install the intake manifold.

02/11/2022Q: How do you remove the Valve Lifter Oil Manifold?
A:
You can remove the intake manifold, disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the oil pressure sensor, avoid lifting the valve lifter oil manifold by the electrical lead frame, remove the valve lifter oil manifold bolts, remove the valve lifter oil manifold, identify the 8 gasket retaining strap locations, use a cutter type tool, cut the 8 retaining straps and remove the outer gasket from the valve lifter oil manifold.
