Q: What is the steering wheel inflatable restraint module coil installation procedure?
A:
Begin with aligning the block tooth on the upper shaft, and install the wave washer to the steering column upper shaft. Next, align the SIR steering wheel module coils, and install the pre-centered SIR steering wheel module coil. After that remove the centering tab, install the SIR steering wheel module coil retaining ring, move the wire harness assembly around the steering column tilts head, and install the wire harness straps to h wire harness assembly. Finally, install the steering column trim covers, and enable the SIR system.

Q: What is the strut, strut component, or spring assembly procedure?
A:
First, install the coil spring and upper strut mount to the J 45400, turn the spring compressor forcing screw, and install the strut to the coil spring and upper strut mount. Install the strut retaining nut while using the J 42991 and a 45 TORX(R) socket. Make sure to tighten the strut mount nut to 75 Nm. Remove the strut from J 45400, and install the strut to the vehicle.

Q: What is the strut, strut component, or spring disassembly procedure?
A:
First, remove the strut from the vehicle, install the strut in the J 45400, and turn the spring compressor forcing screw. Use a 45 TORX(R) socket to hold the strut shaft, then remove the strut from the J 45400. Finally, loosen the compressor forcing screw, and remove the upper strut mount and the coil spring from the J 45400.

First, disable the SIR system, remove the steering column trim covers, and remove the wire harness assembly from the wire harness strap. Remove the wire harness straps from the wire harness assembly, and remove the wire harness trap from the upper tilt head assembly. Next, remove the SIR steering wheel module coil retaining clip, and the SIR steering wheel module coil. Lastly, remove the wave washer from the steering column's upper shaft.
