Q: What is the lower control arm ball joint service procedure?
A:
First, install the ball joint into the steering knuckle and place the ball joint in the steering knuckle with the grease fitting toward the rear of the vehicle. Next, install the snap ring into the steering knuckle, install the steering knuckle to the strut and tighten the knuckle nuts to 177 Nm. After that install the ball joint nut and tighten the knuckle nut to 30 Nm. Install the cotter pin to the tie rod stud, the wheel speed sensor connector, and the brake rotor. Finally, install the caliper/caliper bolts and tighten the wheel nuts to 125 Nm.
