First, clamp the strut in a vise horizontally with the rod and drill a hole in the strut at the center of the end cap using a 5 mm drill bit. Next, remove the strut from the vise and hold the strut over a drain pan vertically with the hole down. Move the rod in and out of the tube to completely drain the oil from the strut.

A:
Install the coil spring and upper strut mount to the J 45400. Next, install the strut to the coil spring and upper strut mount. After that, install the strut retaining nut and tighten the strut mount nut to 85 Nm. Finally, remove the strut from the J 45400 and install the strut to the vehicle.

A:
Install the shock on the vehicle, the shock upper mount and shock reinforcement, and the two nuts. Tighten the nuts to 25 Nm, and install the shock cover and the lower shock bolts. Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm and the wheel nuts to 125 Nm.

A:
First, install the strut and the 3 strut tower bolts/washers. Tighten the strut tower bolts to 66 Nm, install the strut to knuckle bolts/nuts and tighten the bolts/nut to 177 Nm. Next, install the brake line bracket to strut and tighten the brake line bracket to 23 Nm. Finally install the wheel speed sensor bracket and the wheel/tire.
