Q: What is the removal procedure for the Radiator Surge Tank (Left Hand Drive)?
A:
The procedure is to drain the coolant, disconnect the master cylinder fluid level sensor electrical connector, disengage and reposition the surge tank outlet hose clamp, disconnect the surge tank outlet hose, disengage and reposition the surge tank inlet hose clamp, disconnect the surge tank inlet hose, remove the surge tank bolt, remove the surge tank nut, disconnect the low coolant sensor electrical connector and remove the surge tank.

The procedure is to partially drain the cooling system, compress the surge tank inlet hose clamp, remove the surge tank inlet hose from the surge tank, compress the surge tank inlet hose clamp, remove the surge tank inlet hose from the radiator, compress the surge tank hose clamp, remove the surge tank inlet hose from the water housing assembly, remove the surge tank inlet hose from the retaining features on the fan shroud and remove the surge tank inlet hose from the vehicle.

You can connect the surge tank inlet hose and clamp to the water housing assembly, connect the surge tank inlet hose and clamp to the radiator, insert the surge tank inlet hose into the retaining features on the fan shroud, connect the surge tank inlet hose and clamp to the surge tank and fill the cooling system.

You can install the surge tank, connect the low coolant sensor electrical connector, install the surge tank nut, install the surge tank bolt, connect the surge tank inlet hose to the surge tank, reposition the hose clamp to secure the surge tank inlet hose, connect the surge tank outlet hose, reposition the hose clamp to secure the surge tank outlet hose, connect the master cylinder fluid level sensor electrical connector and fill the cooling system.
