Q: What is the proper way to install the electronic brake control module?
A:
You can clean the sealing surface of the BPMV, install the EBCM, make sure that the internal pump motor connector is installed into the new EBCM, install the 4 screws connecting the EBCM to the BPMV, connect the EBCM electrical connector, rotate the EBCM connector tab rearward, install the washer solvent container bracket, the wheelhouse liner, and the air deflector shield, lower the vehicle, program the replacement module, clear the DTCs and perform the ABS Diagnostic System Check.
Q: What should you record as an aid during installation?
A:
You should record the location of all brake pipes to the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) for use as an aid during installation.
