You can drain the cooling system, remove the generator drive belt, retain the water pump pulley, remove the water pump pulley bolts, remove the water pump pulley, remove the water pump bolts, remove the water pump, remove and discard the water pump seal and clean the water pump sealing surfaces.

Q: What is the proper way to install the water pump (LY7) (3.6L)?
A:
You can install a new water pump seal, install the water pump, install the water pump bolts, install the water pump pulley and the water pump pulley bolts, retain the water pump pulley, install the water pump pulley bolts, install the generator drive belt and fill the cooling system.

A:
You can install the inlet Radiator Hose into the vehicle, disengage the tension on the hose clamp, install the radiator inlet hose to the radiator, slide the clamp into the original position, disengage the tension on the hose clamp, install the radiator inlet hose to the thermostat housing, slide the clamp into the original position and fill the cooling system.
