Q: What is the intermediate steering shaft installation procedure?
A:
First, slide the lower intermediate shaft over the upper intermediate shaft and connect the lower intermediate shaft coupler to the steering gear. Next, install the lower coupling pinch bolt into the lower coupling and tighten it to 34 Nm. Install the lower to upper intermediate shafts retaining bolts and tighten to 48 Nm. Finally, install the lower steering coupling shield and tighten the steering coupling shield screw to 3.5 Nm.
