FAQ for Fuel Injector Repair

Q: What is the fuel injector removal procedure?
A:
First, remove the air cleaner outlet duct, relieve the fuel system pressure and remove the engine wiring harness bracket nut. Disconnect all engine wiring harness electrical connectors and all engine wiring harness clips. Next, remove the positive crankcase ventilation hose, disconnect the chassis fuel feed pipe and the EVAP tube quick connect fitting. Remove the fuel rail bolt, fuel rail assembly, and fuel injector retainers. Finally, remove the fuel injectors from the fuel rail and the fuel injector upper/lower O-ring seals.
