First, install the cable taking care to correctly route the cable through the guides and the body mounts. Next, install the cable backing plate by pressing the cable into place until the tabs lock. Install the cable to the actuator lever, place the park brake cable to the rear axle bracket and install the bolt/nut. Make sure to tighten the bolt/nut to 22 Nm and install the cable to the mounting bracket.

A:
Make sure to hold the pedal in the FULL upward position and pull rearward on the front park brake cable until the pedal drum reaches its full reset position. Next, insert a thin tool on an upward angle through the hole in the front of the pedal assembly. Release the cable and remove the component that requires service.
