First inspect the cylinder lines for cracks, dents, and damage to the threads. Replace the parts as needed and install the new O-ring seals to the valve end of the cylinder lines. Next, install the cylinder lien assemblies to the gear assembly. Make sure to tighten the valve end fittings and the cylinder end fittings to 15 Nm.

Install the new boot clamp onto the rack and pinion boot. Next, install the rack and pinion boot onto the inner tie rod assembly. Install the hexagon jam nut to the inner tie rod assembly.

First, loosen the adjuster plug lock nut, tighten the adjuster plug to 15 Nm and tighten the adjuster plug lock nut to 60 Nm.

Q: What is the steering gear installation procedure?
A:
Install the cross-member, install the steering gear vertical mounting nuts, and the intermediate shaft to the steering gear. Next install the coupler clamp bolt to the intermediate shaft, connect the power steering hose assembly to the steering gear, and install the engine protection shield. Install the outer tie rod end and both of the front tire/wheel assemblies.
