2009 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Exhaust Manifold

You can remove the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S), raise the vehicle, remove the catalytic converter to exhaust manifold nuts, remove the right wheelhouse liner, remove the spark plug wires from the spark plugs and the ignition coils, remove the oil level indicator tube bolt, the oil level indicator tube, the exhaust manifold bolts, and exhaust manifold, remove and discard the exhaust manifold gasket, remove and discard the exhaust manifold seal and remove the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts and shield.

You can tighten the bolt 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

You can install the J 42640, remove the left wheelhouse liner, raise the vehicle, remove the catalytic converter to exhaust manifold nuts, lower the vehicle part way, remove the spark plug wires from the spark plugs and the ignition coils, mark the relationship of the upper intermediate steering shaft to the steering column, remove the steering shaft coupling bolt and nut, separate the upper intermediate steering shaft from the steering column, remove the exhaust manifold bolts and exhaust manifold, remove and discard the exhaust manifold gasket, remove and discard the catalytic converter seal and remove the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts and shield.

You can tighten the nuts to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).

You can tighten the bolt/nut to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).
