You should raise and support the vehicle, remove the front tire and wheel assembly and then disconnect the outer tie rod from the steering knuckle.

You should install the front shock absorber assembly, place the shock absorber, compress the front spring, hold the shock absorber shaft, remove and discard the shock absorber nut, remove the front lower shock absorber and the front spring lower insulator, and then remove the front suspension strut mount, front spring upper seat, front suspension strut bumper, front spring upper insulator, and the front suspension spring from the spring compressor.

You should make an indentation 10 mm (0.4 in) from the bottom of the tube, clamp the shock absorber in a vise horizontally, drill a hole in the shock absorber at the centerpunch, make an indentation in the middle of the tube, drill a second hole in the shock absorber at the centerpunch, remove the shock absorber from the vise and then hold the shock absorber over a drain pan horizontally with the holes down.

You should compress the front spring, hold the shock absorber shaft, install the new shock absorber nut and then install l the shock absorber in the vehicle.
