Q: How do I remove the Relay Rod?
A:
You should remove the engine shield, remove the steering linkage shock absorber from the relay rod, remove the steering linkage outer tie rods, remove the idler arm nut, discard the nut, separate the idler arm from the relay rod using the J 24319-B-Puller, remove the pitman arm nut, discard the nut, separate the pitman arm from the relay rod using the J 24319-B-Puller, remove the relay rod from the vehicle and inspect the threads and seals on all steering related components.

Q: How do I install the Relay Rod?
A:
You should position the relay rod in the vehicle, install the pitman arm to the relay rod, install the idler arm to the relay rod, install a NEW pitman arm nut and tighten to 62 Nm (46 lb-ft), install a NEW idler arm nut and tighten to 62 Nm (46 lb-ft), install the steering linkage outer tie rods, install the steering linkage shock absorber to the relay rod, install the engine shield, measure the wheel alignment and adjust the front toe.
