You should remove the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S), raise and suitably support the vehicle, remove the catalytic converter to exhaust manifold nuts, remove the front wheelhouse liner-right side, partially lower the vehicle to work through the wheel opening, remove the spark plug wires from the spark plugs, remove the spark plug wires from the ignition coils, remove the oil level indicator tube from the engine block, remove the exhaust manifold bolts and exhaust manifold, remove and discard the exhaust manifold gasket, remove and discard the exhaust manifold seal and remove the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts, and shield from the exhaust manifold.

Q: How do I install the Exhaust Manifold-Right Side?
A:
You should position and install the exhaust manifold heat shield, and bolts to the exhaust manifold, clean the threads of the exhaust manifold bolts, apply a 5 mm (0.2 in) wide band of threadlock GM P/N 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488), or equivalent to the threads of the exhaust manifold bolts, install a NEW catalytic converter seal to the exhaust manifold, position the NEW exhaust manifold gasket and exhaust manifold to the cylinder head, ensure that the catalytic converter seal is seated to the catalytic converter, install the exhaust manifold bolts, bend the gasket tab at the rear of the gasket around the cylinder head edge, install the oil level indicator tube to the engine block, install the spark plug wires to the spark plugs, install the spark plug wires to the ignition coils, inspect the spark plug wires for proper installation, fully raise and support the vehicle, install the catalytic converter to exhaust manifold nuts, partially lower the vehicle in order to work through the wheel opening, install the front wheel house liner-right front, install the HO2S and inspect the exhaust system for leaks.
