Q: How do I install the Camshaft Timing Chain and Sprocket?
A:
You should install the key into the crankshaft keyway, tap the key into the keyway until both ends of the key bottom onto the crankshaft, install the crankshaft sprocket onto the front of the crankshaft, align the crankshaft key with the crankshaft sprocket keyway the J 41478 and the J 41665 to install the crankshaft sprocket, install the sprocket onto the crankshaft until fully seated against the crankshaft flange, compress the timing chain tensioner guide and install the EN 46330, install the timing chain tensioner and bolts, position the camshaft sprocket so the timing mark is in the 6 o'clock position, install the camshaft sprocket, timing chain, and bolt, inspect the sprockets for proper alignment, remove the EN 46330 and the J 42386-A and bolts, install the starter motor and the oil pump.

A:
You should rotate the crankshaft until the timing marks on the crankshaft and the camshaft sprockets are aligned. And you do not turn the crankshaft assembly after the timing chain has been removed to prevent damage to the piston assemblies or the valves.

Q: How do I remove the Camshaft Timing Chain and Sprocket?
A:
You should remove the oil pump and the starter motor, install the J 42386-A and bolts, rotate the crankshaft until the timing marks on the crankshaft and the camshaft sprockets are aligned, and remove the camshaft sprocket bolt, the camshaft sprocket and timing chain, the timing chain tension bolts and tensioner, the crankshaft sprocket, the crankshaft sprocket, and the crankshaft sprocket key.
