Q: How do I remove the Valve Rocker Arm Cover-Left Side?
A:
You should remove the intake manifold cover, remove the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer, disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the ignition coil wire harness, remove the engine harness clip from the ignition coil bracket stud, reposition the engine harness, remove the spark plug wires from the ignition coils, remove the ignition coil bracket studs, the ignition coil bracket, the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose, loosen the valve rocker arm cover bolts, remove the valve rocker arm cover and remove and discard the old gasket.

Q: What should be noticed in installing the Valve Rocker Arm Cover-Right Side?
A:
All gasket surfaces should be free of oil or other foreign material during assembly. You can not reuse the valve rocker arm cover gasket. If the oil fill tube has been removed from the rocker arm cover, you should install a new fill tube during assembly.

Q: How do I install the Valve Rocker Arm Cover-Left Side?
A:
You should rocker the cover gasket and the valve rocker arm cover, tighten the rocker arm cover bolts, install the PCV hose, apply thread lock to the threads of the ignition coil bracket studs, position the ignition coil bracket onto the rocker cover, install the ignition coil bracket studs, install the spark plug wire to the ignition coils, position the engine harness, install the engine harness clip to the ignition coil bracket stud, connect the engine harness electrical connector to the ignition coil wire harness, install the CPA retainer and install the intake manifold cover.

Q: How do I install the Engine Block Valley Cover?
A:
You should apply sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) or equivalent, to the threads of the oil pressure sensor, install a NEW washer and the oil pressure sensor, lubricate the O-ring seals with clean engine oil, install the O-ring seals to the cover, set the engine valley cover onto the engine, install the engine valley cover bolts and install the intake manifold.

Q: What should be noticed when removing the Valve Rocker Arm Cover-Right Side?
A:
You should disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the ignition coil wire harness, remove the engine wiring harness (electronic throttle control branch) clip from the ignition coil bracket stud and reposition the engine wiring harness (electronic throttle control branch) as necessary.
