Q: How do you install the Range Selector Lever Cable?
A:
You need to ensure that the transmission manual shaft lever is in the park (P) position, and pull the white cover back to expose the naturally colored lock, under the lock, insert a flat-bladed screwdriver under the lock ramp located at the top of the lock, push the end of the transmission end inside the shifter end until the blue spring on the transmission end is fully compressed and release the transmission end and allow the spring to tension/adjust the cable system. Then you can pull the white cover on the shifter end back, push the natural colored lock button down to engage the locking teeth on the transmission end, release the white cover and verify the white cover conceals the natural colored lock.

Then you can pull the white cover on the shifter end back, push the natural colored lock button down to engage the locking teeth on the transmission end, release the white cover and verify the white cover conceals the natural colored lock. If the white cover does not conceal the naturally colored lock, the shift cable must be re-adjusted. If all of the gear positions cannot be achieved, the shift cable must be re-adjusted.
