Q: How do you remove the Relay Rod?
A:
You need to remove the engine shield, the steering linkage shock absorber from the relay rod, the steering linkage outer tie rods, and the idler arm nut. You need to discard the nut, separate the idler arm from the relay rod using the J 24319-B-Puller, remove the pitman arm nut, discard the nut, separate the pitman arm from the relay rod using the J 24319-B-Puller, remove the relay rod from the vehicle, inspect the threads and seals on all steering related components and repair or replace the components as necessary.

Q: How do you install the Relay Rod?
A:
You need to position the relay rod in the vehicle, install the pitman arm to the relay rod, the idler arm to the relay rod, a new pitman arm nut, a new idler arm nut, the steering linkage outer tie rods, the steering linkage shock absorber to the relay rod and the engine shield, and measure the wheel alignment and adjust the front toe.
