Q: How do you install the Crankshaft Front Oil Seal?
A:
You need to lubricate the outer edge of the oil seal with clean engine oil and the front cover oil seal bore with clean engine oil, install the crankshaft front oil seal onto the J 41478 guide and the J 41478 threaded rod (with nut, washer, guide, and oil seal) into the end of the crankshaft and use the J 41478 to install the oil seal into the cover bore and then install the crankshaft balancer.

Q: How do you install the Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Housing?
A:
You need to apply a 5 mm (0.2 in) bead of sealant, and 20 mm (0.8 in) to the 2 joints (a) at the rear of the block/pan and inspect the rear oil gallery plug for proper installation.
