Then, please remove the bolts and position aside the range selector cable bracket for clearance while lowering the pan, remove the oil pan bolts from the front and sides of the pan only, loosen the rear oil pan bolts approximately 4 turns, and tap the oil pan with a rubber mallet. You also need to remove the remaining oil pan bolts, the oil pan, and the gasket, grasp firmly while pulling down with a twisting motion, remove the filter seal, discard the seal, and inspect the fluid color. Finally, you should inspect the filter, pry the metal crimping away from the top of the filter and pull it apart, clean the transmission case and the oil pan gasket surfaces with solvent, and air dry.

First, you need to pull the plastic cap back from the quick connect fitting and down along the cooler line about 5 cm (2 in). Then, please use a bent-tip screwdriver to pull on one of the open ends of the retaining ring until the retaining ring is out of position and can be completely removed. Finally, you should remove the retaining ring from the quick connect fitting, discard the retaining ring and pull the cooler line straight out from the quick connect fitting.
