You need to use the J 42059 Cigar Lighter Socket Remover.

First, you need to position the retaining ring to the mounting hole, index the key to the retaining ring to the slot in the mounting hole, and install the retaining ring by pressing the retaining ring into the mounting hole until fully seated. Then, please connect the electrical connector to the socket and position the socket to the retaining ring. Finally, you should install the socket into the retaining ring by pressing in the socket until fully seated, and install the 12-volt power supply or cigar lighter fuse.

First, you need to partially remove the body side trim panel. Then, please disconnect the electrical connector from the 12-volt outlet assembly. Finally, you should remove the threaded ring and lock washer from the outlet, and remove the outlet assembly from the vehicle.

First, you need to remove the 12-volt power supply or cigar lighter fuse, remove the socket, and position the opposite °T° portion of the tool into the opposing square window tab. Then, please pull the socket straight out of the retaining ring, remove the tool from the socket, and disconnect the electrical connector from the socket. Finally, you should use your finger to remove the socket retaining ring by pulling the retaining ring out of the mounting hole.
