Q: How to install the Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal and Housing?
A:
First, you need to use the J 44227 to install the crankshaft rear oil seal, remove the J 44227, apply a 3 mm (0.12 in) bead of sealant to the crankshaft rear oil seal housing, the surface of the crankshaft rear oil seal housing and the surface of the oil pan. Then, please install the J 44219 guide pins into the block, slide the crankshaft rear oil seal housing over the alignment pins J 44219 and crankshaft, and install the crankshaft rear oil seal housing bolts, except the 2 in place of the guide pins. Finally, you should remove the J 44219 guide pins, install the remaining 2 crankshaft rear oil seal housing bolts, wipe off any excess material from the bottom of the oil pan sealing area, install the flywheel, secure with the bolts, tighten the bolts an additional 50 degrees and install the transmission.

First, you need to remove the transmission, the flywheel bolts, the flywheel, and the crankshaft rear oil seal housing bolts. Then, please install 2 bolts into the jackscrew holes to release the cover from the block. Finally, you should remove the crankshaft and rear oil seal housing and remove the oil seal from the crankshaft snout.

First, you need to apply the engine oil to the outside diameter of the crankshaft front oil seal. Then, please use the J 44218 to install the front oil seal and remove the J 44218. Finally, you should install the crank balancer shaft.
