You need to verify the following conditions: the wheels on the vehicle are straight ahead. the block tooth of the steering shaft assembly is in the 12 o'clock position. the ignition switch assembly is in the LOCK position.

Q: What is the removal procedure for the Steering Wheel Inflatable Restraint Module Coil?
A:
Disable the SIR system, tilt the steering column to the CENTER position, remove the steering wheel from the column, remove the upper and lower trim covers and the wire harness strap, remove the wire harness assembly if the steering wheel has PAD control, remove the retaining ring and the steering wheel module coil, and remove the wave washer if necessary.
