2009 GMC Savana 3500 Shift Interlock Solenoid

The first step is to firmly install the A/T shift lock control actuator onto the steering column jacket assembly and the cable shift cam assembly.

The procedure is to remove the following: the transmission oil pan and filter, the 1-2 accumulator, the solenoid retainer bolt and the solenoid retainer, the pressure control solenoid, the 1-2 and 2-3 shift solenoid retainers and the 1-2 and 2-3 shift solenoids.

You should be sure all solenoids are installed with the electrical connectors facing the non-machined (cast) side of the valve body.

The procedure is to disable the SIR system, put the shift lever clevis into the neutral position, remove the knee bolster, disconnect the electrical connector, pry the A/T shift lock control actuator away and remove the A/T shift lock control actuator.
