Q: What is the proper way to install the ignition lock cylinder?
A:
The proper way is to rotate the ignition lock cylinder case gear clockwise to the start position-allowing it to spring return into the RUN position, install the key into the ignition lock cylinder, align the ignition lock cylinder and install it into the ignition lock cylinder case, install the steering column shroud, and then enable the SIR system.

A:
The procedure is to remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil, remove the ignition/start switch, remove the 3 ignition lock cylinder case screws, and then remove the ignition lock cylinder case from the vehicle.

Q: What is the removal procedure for the ignition lock cylinder?
A:
The procedure is to disable the SIR system, remove the steering column shroud, hold it in the START position with the key installed, install an Allen wrench into the hole on top of the ignition lock cylinder case, and then slide the ignition lock cylinder out of the ignition lock cylinder case.
