Q: How to remove the power vacuum brake booster?
A:
You should remove the left side instrument panel insulator panel, disconnect the brake pedal position sensor electrical connector, release the power vacuum brake booster pushrod retainer from the brake pedal arm by pulling the brake pedal rearward, discard the power vacuum brake pushrod retainer and disconnect the brake fluid level indicator switch electrical connector. Then, you should remove the master cylinder and the master cylinder O-ring seal, disconnect the power brake booster vacuum sensor electrical connector, remove the power brake booster vacuum sensor and hose assembly and position aside and the brake pressure modulator valve assembly, loosen the power vacuum brake booster bolts, remove the power vacuum brake booster and inspect the power vacuum brake booster gasket.

Q: How to remove the power brake booster auxiliary pump (LAU)?
A:
First, with the engine off, you should apply the brake pedal several times until the brake pedal becomes firm to deplete the vacuum brake booster vacuum reserve. Then, you should raise and support the vehicle and remove the radiator air lower deflector. After that, you should disconnect the power brake booster auxiliary pump electrical connector, release the vacuum hose quick-connect and disconnect the hose from the auxiliary pump. Then, you should remove the power brake booster auxiliary pump nuts, the power brake booster auxiliary pump from the bracket, the power brake booster auxiliary pump bracket bolts, and the power brake booster auxiliary pump bracket.
