Q: How do I install the Front Wheel Drive Shaft Inner Joint and Boot?
A:
Install the shaft retaining ring onto the axle shaft using the snap ring pliers. Next, install a new small seal retaining clamp onto the seal and the seal onto the axle shaft. Use the snap ring pliers to install the retaining ring onto the axle shaft. Fill and repack the tripot housing with 195-215 g (6.9-7.6 ounces) of the recommended grease. Install the boot to the joint housing and the new large seal. Crimp the small seal and install the drive axle shaft.

A:
Start with placing the new small seal retaining clamp onto the seal, and next install the seal and the joint assembly onto the axle shaft. Install the shaft retaining ring using snap ring pliers. Fill and repack the joint assembly with 120-140 grams (4.2-4.9 ounces) of the recommended grease. Install the new large seal retaining clamp. Lastly, crimp both large and small clamps.

Start with removing both large and small retaining clamps. Clean and degrease the joint. Then Remove the shaft retaining ring, the axle shaft from the joint assembly, and the seal from the joint assembly.
