Q: What is the camshaft installation procedure?
A:
First, install the camshaft sprocket bolt into the camshaft front bolt hole, remove the bolt from the front of the camshaft, and install the camshaft retainer and bolts. Next, install the retainer with the sealing gasket facing the engine block, tighten the camshaft retainer bolts to 25 Nm, compress the timing chain tensioner guide and install the EN 46330. After that align the CMP actuator, install the CMP actuator and timing chain, install a new CMP actuator solenoid valve, and inspect the sprockets for proper alignment. Next, remove the EN 46330, tighten the CMP actuator solenoid valve, remove the J 42386-A, and install the starter motor. Install the engine front cover, install the valve lifters, and install the radiator support.
