FAQ for Intake Manifold Repair

Q: What is the intake manifold removal procedure?
A:
First, remove the engine covers, remove the air cleaner resonator and outlet duct, and disconnect the electrical connector for the fuel injectors. Next, disconnect the electrical connectors from the throttle body, disconnect the fuel feed for the fuel injectors, remove the positive crankcase ventilation hose/pipe/tube, and remove the vacuum hose from the brake booster. After that, disconnect the electrical connector from the manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP), remove the grommet from the sensor, and remove the evaporative emission clip, bolt, bracket, valve, and tubes. Next, remove the intake manifold and remove the intake manifold gaskets.
