2010 Chevrolet Cobalt Brake Pad Set

Start with applying a thin coat of high temp silicone brake lube to the inside of the Brake Caliper guide pin boots. Then install the guide pins boots to the bracket, apply the lubricant to the brake caliper guide pins and the bushing, then install the pins to the bracket. Then add lubricant to the pad hardware mating surfaces of the bracket, then install the brake pad retainers and brake pad. Now you can remove the caliper support.

After removing the tire and assembly, brake caliper bolts, and the brake caliper assembly from the steering knuckle, mark the position of the brake rotor to the wheel studs and the brake rotor retainers, then remove the disc brake rotor.
