Q: What is the steering gear installation procedure?
A:
Install the steering gear to the vehicle through the left wheelhouse opening and install the steering gear bolts. Tighten the bolts to 110 Nm. Next, install the transmission rear mount and a new intermediate steering shaft bolt. Tighten the bolt to 34 Nm. Install the new rack and pinion tie rod end nuts. Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm.

Start with making a 10 MM indication from the bottom of the tube with a center punch, 2. Clamp the Shock Absorber in a vise horizontally with the shock absorber rod fully opened, Drill a hole at the center punch using a 5 mm (3/16 in) drill bit. Remove the shock absorber from the vise. Hold the shock absorber over a drain pan horizontally with the holes down. Move the rod in/out of the tube to completely drain the oil from the shock absorber.

Then add lubricant to the pad hardware mating surfaces of the bracket, then install the brake pad retainers and brake pad. Now you can remove the caliper support.
