You can close the liftgate onto the striker, note if the liftgate drags on the striker, mark around the striker for reference of the original position, loosen the striker bolts, move the striker to eliminate drag on the striker and liftgate latch and achieve proper liftgate position within the liftgate opening, align the left/right liftgate position, align the in/out adjustment for proper liftgate seal engagement, verify correct alignment of the striker and then tighten the striker bolts.
