Q: How do you install the master cylinder reservoir?
A:
You can lubricate the master cylinder reservoir seals and the outer surface area of the reservoir-to-housing barrels, clean the reservoir with denatured alcohol, or equivalent and allow it to dry, install the master cylinder reservoir seals to the master cylinder, lubricate the master cylinder reservoir-to-master cylinder barrels with GM approved brake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container, carefully press the master cylinder reservoir straight downward and install the reservoir to the master cylinder, install the master cylinder reservoir bolts, connect the brake fluid level indicator switch electrical connector, and then fill the master cylinder reservoir.

Q: What is the removal procedure for the master cylinder reservoir?
A:
The procedure is to remove the brake fluid from the brake master cylinder reservoir, discard the brake fluid into an approved container, disconnect the brake fluid level indicator switch electrical connector, remove the master cylinder reservoir bolts, carefully lift the master cylinder reservoir straight upward and remove the reservoir from the master cylinder, and then remove the master cylinder reservoir seals.
