You can apply a very thin coating of high-temperature silicone brake lubricant to the pad mating surfaces of the caliper bracket only, install the spring clips to the mounting bracket, remove the adhesive backing paper from the brake pad insulators, install the brake pads, rotate the brake caliper into the proper position on the mounting bracket, hold the caliper guide pin and tighten the brake caliper guide pin bolt, install the tire and wheel assembly, lower the vehicle, apply the brake pedal to approximately 2/3 of its travel distance, release the brake pedal, fill the brake master cylinder reservoir to the proper level with clean brake fluid if necessary, apply and maintain pressure on the brake pedal for 30 seconds to seat the brake pad insulators to the brake caliper pistons and caliper housing, and then burnish the brake pads and rotors.

The procedure is to raise and suitably support the vehicle, and then remove the tire and wheel assembly, the caliper from the mounting bracket and support the caliper with heavy mechanic's wire or equivalent, the brake pads from the brake caliper bracket, and the anti-rattle clips from the brake caliper mounting bracket.

You can install the anti-rattle clips to the brake caliper bracket, the brake caliper, the brake pads to the brake caliper bracket, and the tire and wheel assembly, lower the vehicle, apply the brake pedal to approximately 2/3 of its travel distance, release the brake pedal, fill the master cylinder reservoir to the proper level with clean brake fluid, and then burnish the brakes pads and rotors as necessary.
