Q: What is the installation procedure for the camshaft position sensor?
A:
The procedure is to inspect the CMP O-ring seal for cuts or damage, lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine oil, install the O-ring seal onto the sensor, the CMP sensor to the front cover, and the CMP sensor wire harness, connect the CMP sensor wire harness electrical connectors to the CMP sensor and the CMP actuator magnet, install the 3 CMP sensor wire harness bolts, connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the CMP sensor wire harness, and then lower the vehicle.

Q: How do you remove the camshaft position sensor?
A:
You can raise and support the vehicle, disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the CMP sensor wire harness, remove the 3 CMP sensor wire harness bolts, disconnect the CMP sensor wire harness electrical connectors from the CMP sensor and the CMP actuator magnet, and then remove the CMP sensor wire harness and the CMP sensor and O-ring seal.
