A:
The procedure is to install the cigar lighter retainer to the trim plate by pressing the retainer into place until fully seated, connect the electrical connector to the housing, align the housing key to the slot in the retainer ring, press the housing into place until the housing is fully seated, and then install the cigar lighter fuse.

A:
You need to remove the cigar lighter fuse and the cigar lighter element, use the J 42059 tool, remove the tool from the lighter housing, pull the cigar lighter housing and the cigar lighter retainer out of the trim plate, disconnect the electrical connector from the housing, and then remove the retainer from the housing.
