A:
The procedure is to raise the vehicle, remove the tire and wheel assemblies, the rear wheel axle shafts, the rear brake rotors, and the propeller shaft from the vehicle, measure the amount of torque required to rotate the pinion, place an alignment mark between the pinion and the pinion yoke, and then remove the pinion nut, the washer, the pinion yoke, and the drive pinion seal.

You can install a new pinion oil seal, apply a sealant to the splines of the pinion yoke, install the drive flange onto the pinion shaft and the washer and the nut, tighten the pinion nut and the nut in small increments, rotate the pinion several times, install the propeller shaft in the vehicle, the axle shafts, the rear brake rotors, and the tire and wheel assemblies, and then remove the support and lower the vehicle.

You can install the outer pinion bearing cup, and the inner pinion bearing cup, determine the selective shim thickness for the drive pinion, install the shim on the differential drive pinion gear, and the inner pinion bearing until the pinion bearing seats on the drive pinion shim and a new collapsible spacer, lubricate the pinion bearings with the axle lubricant, install the outer pinion bearing into the differential drive pinion gear and the drive pinion flange/yoke and or oil seal, measure the rotating torque of the drive pinion, rotate the pinion several times, install the differential assembly, fill the axle with lubricant, and then remove the support and lower the vehicle.
