Q: How do you install the drive belt?
A:
You can route the drive belt around all the pulleys except the idler pulley, install the breaker bar with a hex-head socket to the belt tensioner bolt, rotate the belt tensioner clockwise in order to relieve the tension on the tensioner, install the drive belt under the idler pulley, slowly release the tension on the belt tensioner, remove the breaker bar and socket from the belt tensioner bolt, inspect the drive belt for proper installation and alignment, position the coolant recovery reservoir and install the retaining bolt, and then install the air cleaner assembly.

Q: What is the removal procedure for the drive belt?
A:
The procedure is to remove the air cleaner assembly and the retaining bolt for the coolant recovery reservoir and set the reservoir aside, install a breaker bar with the hex-head socket to the drive belt tensioner bolt, rotate the drive belt tensioner clockwise to relieve tension on the belt, remove the belt from the pulleys and the drive belt tensioner, slowly release the tension on the drive belt tensioner, remove the breaker bar and socket and from the drive belt tensioner bolt, and then clean and inspect the belt surfaces of all the pulleys.

The procedure is to position the belt behind the rear face of the balancer and around the A/C pulley, install the belt installation tool onto the balancer, and then slowly rotate the crankshaft pulley in a counterclockwise direction 180 degrees (a).
