You need to raise and support the vehicle, separate the catalytic converter from the Exhaust Manifold, lower the vehicle, remove the engine cover, the oil level indicator tube, the spark plug wires from the spark plugs, and the exhaust manifold bolts and remove the exhaust manifold from the vehicle, discard the exhaust manifold gasket and the exhaust manifold to catalytic converter seal, and then remove the exhaust manifold studs.

You can install the Muffler assembly from the front of the vehicle by lifting over the rear axle, the muffler assembly hanger pins to the exhaust hanger insulators, the retaining nuts, and a new gasket to the front of the muffler if equipped with a three-way catalytic converter, the right catalytic converter in the muffler if equipped with dual catalytic converter pipes and a new gasket and the nuts retaining the left catalytic converter to the muffler flange, and then lower the vehicle.
