Q: How do you install the fuel injection fuel rail assembly?
A:
You can lubricate the NEW fuel injector O-ring seals with clean engine oil, install the NEW fuel injector upper and lower O-ring seals onto the injectors, the fuel injectors into the fuel rails and the fuel injector retainers, position the fuel rail onto the intake manifold, firmly push down on both the centers of the left and right fuel rails, install the fuel rail bolts, the EVAP tube and purge solenoid and the EVAP canister purge solenoid to the fuel rail bracket and engage the retainer, connect the chassis EVAP tube quick connect fitting at the EVAP canister purge solenoid, the EVAP tube quick connect fitting at the intake manifold and the chassis fuel feed pipe quick connect fitting to the fuel rail, install the PCV hose, gather the branches of the engine wiring harness and position over the top of the engine, position the engine wiring harness clip to the generator bracket and install the clip bolt and the negative battery cable terminal and engine wiring harness ground terminal to the right cylinder head, install the negative battery cable stud to the cylinder head, connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the ignition coil main electrical connector, install the CPA retainer, connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the electronic throttle control and the engine wiring harness electrical connectors to the fuel injectors, install the engine wiring harness clips to the generator battery jumper cable and to the ignition coil bracket stud, connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the ignition coil main electrical connector, install the CPA retainer, connect the engine wiring harness electrical connectors to the fuel injectors, to the MAP sensor, to the generator and to the EVAP purge solenoid, install the engine wiring harness bracket nut, connect the negative battery cable, and then install the air cleaner outlet duct.

A:
You need to relieve the fuel system pressure, disconnect the fuel feed and the fuel return pipes from the fuel rail, and then remove the fuel return pipe attaching screw and the fuel return pipe retainer, the fuel return pipe, the fuel return pipe O-ring, the fuel pressure connection core assembly from the crossover pipe rail, the retaining clip attaching screw and the crossover fuel pipe retainer clip, the retaining clip attaching screw and the crossover fuel pipe retainer clip, the crossover pipe rail assembly from the left-hand rail assembly and the right-hand rail assembly and the crossover fuel pipe O-rings.

Q: What is the removal procedure for the fuel injection fuel rail assembly?
A:
The procedure is to remove the air cleaner outlet duct, relieve the fuel system pressure, remove the engine wiring harness bracket nut, disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the evaporative emission (EVAP) purge solenoid, the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the generator and the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor, remove the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer, disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connectors from the ignition coil main electrical connector and from the fuel injectors, remove the CPA retainer, disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connectors from the ignition coil main electrical connector, from the electronic throttle control and from the fuel injectors, remove the engine wiring harness clips from the generator battery jumper cable, from the ignition coil bracket stud and from the right cylinder head, the negative battery cable terminal and engine wiring harness ground terminal from the cylinder head, and the engine wiring harness clip bolt from the generator bracket, gather the branches of the engine wiring harness and reposition the aside, remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose, disconnect the chassis fuel feed pipe quick connect fitting from the fuel rail, the EVAP tube quick connect fitting at the intake manifold and the chassis EVAP tube quick connect fitting at the EVAP canister purge solenoid, disengage the retainer securing the EVAP canister purge solenoid to the fuel rail, remove the EVAP tube and purge solenoid, the fuel rail bolts, the fuel rail assembly, the fuel injector retainers, the fuel injectors from the fuel rail and the fuel injector upper and lower O-ring seals.

The procedure is to loosen the fuel fill cap, remove the engine cover if required and the fuel rail service port cap, wrap a shop towel around the fuel rail service port, depress (open) the fuel rail test port valve, remove the shop towel from around the fuel rail service port, place in an approved gasoline container, install the fuel rail service port cap and the engine cover if required, and then tighten the fuel fill cap.
