2010 Chevrolet Express 3500 Ignition Lock Cylinder

You can install the ignition lock cylinder and the steering column trim covers, enable the SIR system, connect the battery negative cable, and then perform the Passlock learn procedure.

You need to disable the SIR system, and then remove the ignition switch, the turn signal cancel cam, the park lock cable from the lock cylinder housing, 5.3 TORX(R) screws, and the lock cylinder housing from the steering column.

The procedure is to install 3 TORX(R) screws into the lock cylinder housing, the turn signal cancel cam, the park lock cable into the lock cylinder housing, and the ignition switch, and then enable the SIR system.

The procedure is to disconnect the battery negative cable, disable the SIR system, remove the steering column trim covers, turn the ignition lock cylinder to the start position, insert the tip of an awl into the access hole of the ignition lock cylinder, push down and hold the retaining pin of the ignition lock cylinder, release the ignition lock cylinder to the run position, and then remove the ignition lock cylinder.

The recommended torque is 7 Nm (62 lb in).
