2010 Chevrolet Express 3500 Intake Manifold

You can lubricate the O-ring seals with clean engine oil, install the O-rings seals to the cover, install the cover, gasket, and bolts, apply sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) or equivalent, to the threads of the sensor, and then install the oil pressure sensor and sealing washer and the intake manifold.

The procedure is to remove the intake manifold, the valley cover bolts, the valley cover and gasket, the O-ring seals from the cover, and the oil pressure sensor and washer as required.

You need to remove the throttle body and the fuel injectors, disconnect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor and knock sensor, remove the knock sensor harness electrical connector from the intake manifold, set the electrical harness aside, disconnect the electronic temperature control (ETC) connector, and then remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose-dirty air, the MAP sensor and retainer as required, the O-ring from the sensor, as required, the evaporative emission (EVAP) purge solenoid vent tube, the EVAP purge solenoid bolt, solenoid, and isolator from the intake manifold, the intake manifold bolts, the intake manifold with gaskets and the intake manifold gaskets.

The procedure is to install NEW intake manifold gaskets to the intake manifold and the intake manifold, apply a 5 mm (0.20 in) band of thread lock GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) to the threads of the intake manifold bolts, install the intake manifold bolts, the EVAP purge solenoid, isolator, and bolt to the intake manifold, the EVAP purge solenoid vent tube to the solenoid and vapor pipe and the engine coolant air bleed clamp and hose to the throttle body, if applicable, lubricate the MAP sensor grommet with clean engine oil, install the grommet onto the MAP sensor, the MAP sensor and the retainer and the PCV hose-dirty air, connect the knock sensor harness electrical connector to the intake manifold and MAP sensor, Knock sensor and Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve if equipped, and then install the fuel injectors and the throttle body.
