Q: What is the installation procedure for the valve rocker arm and push rod?
A:
The procedure is to lubricate the valve rocker arms and pushrods with clean engine oil, the flange of the valve rocker arm bolts with clean engine oil, and the flange or washer surface of the bolt that will contact the valve rocker arm, install the valve rocker arm pivot support, the pushrods and the rocker arms and bolts, rotate the crankshaft until the number one piston is at the top dead center (TDC) of the compression stroke, tighten the valve rocker arm bolts, rotate the crankshaft 360 degrees, tighten the valve rocker arm bolts, and then install the valve rocker arm cover.
