You shall install the ECT sensor, connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the ECT sensor, slide the electrical connector heat shield down over the connector, and fill the cooling system.

Q: How to remove the engine coolant temperature sensor?
A:
You shall drain the cooling system, slide the electrical connector heat shield up the wiring harness, disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor, and remove the ECT sensor.
