Q: How to remove the Secondary Air Injection Pump?
A:
You need to open the hood and remove the air cleaner outlet duct, and you need to disconnect the secondary air injection (AIR) pump inlet hose quick connect fitting from the pump, and you need to disconnect the AIR pump outlet hose quick connect fitting from the pump. Then you need to remove the engine shield, and you need to disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the AIR pump wiring harness electrical connector. After that, you need to squeeze the AIR pump wiring harness electrical connector clip together and push up to separate the clip/connector from the bracket, and open the AIR pump wiring harness clip and remove the harness from the clip, and you also need to remove the AIR pump nuts and lower the vehicle. Finally, you need to reposition the AIR pump inlet and outlet hoses as necessary to remove the pump, then you can remove the AIR pump.
