FAQ for Automatic Transmission Shifter Cable Repair

Q: How to adjust the Range Selector Lever Cable?
A:
You need to disconnect the range selector cable and rotate the range selector lever fully clockwise. Then you need to slide the secondary locking tab rearward to release the primary lock, open the primary lock to disengage, push the range selector cable end onto the transmission range selector lever ball stud to secure, and close the primary lock to engage. After that, you need to slide the secondary locking tab forward and lower the vehicle. Finally, you need to check the vehicle for proper operation.
