You need to remove the outer tie rod and remove the hexagon jam nut from the inner tie rod assembly. Then you need to remove the tie rod end clamp from the rack and pinion boot and remove the boot clamp from the rack and pinion boot with side cutters. After that, you need to discard the boot clamp. Finally, you need to remove the rack and pinion boot, and the breather tube.
