Q: How do you replace the knuckle?
A:
You can raise the vehicle, remove the tire and wheel, disconnect the rear park brake cable from the park brake actuator, remove the park brake cable, remove the brake caliper and bracket as an assembly, support the brake caliper and bracket, remove the wheel bearing/hub assembly, remove the upper and lower control arm to knuckle bolt and nut, remove the toe link to knuckle bolt and nut, remove the 3 trailing arm to knuckle bolts and remove the knuckle.

Q: How do you install the Steering Knuckle?
A:
You can position the steering knuckle to strut assembly, install the strut to steering knuckle bolts and nuts, position the lower ball joint stud into the steering knuckle, install the ball stud nut, tighten the strut to steering knuckle bolts and nuts, tighten the castle nut, install a new cotter pin and the outer tie rod end, position the stabilizer shaft link to the strut assembly, install the nut, install the wheel bearing/hub assembly, install the tire and wheel, lower the vehicle and perform a wheel alignment.

Q: What is the proper way to install the knuckle?
A:
You can install the knuckle to the lower and upper control arms, install the knuckle to the toe link, install the 3 trailing arm to knuckle bolts, tighten the bolts and nuts, install the wheel bearing/hub assembly, remove the supporting wire, position the brake caliper and bracket assemblies back onto the knuckles, connect the rear park brake cable, install the tire and wheel, lower the vehicle and perform a vehicle wheel alignment.

Q: What is the removal procedure for the Steering Knuckle?
A:
The procedure is to raise the vehicle, remove the tire and wheel, the wheel bearing/hub assembly and the nut, separate the stabilizer link from the strut assembly, loosen the steering knuckle to strut bolts and nuts, remove and discard the lower ball joint cotter pin, loosen the ball stud nut, separate the lower ball joint from the steering knuckle and remove the lower ball joint nut, the outer tie rod end, the steering knuckle to strut bolts and nuts and the steering knuckle.
